* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of 105 to
110 expected.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, Benton, Sherburne, Stearns, Chisago, Isanti,
and Goodhue Counties. In Wisconsin, Polk, Pierce, and St. Croix
Counties.

* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, until 11 AM CDT this morning. For the
Extreme Heat Warning, from 11 AM this morning to 9 PM CDT this
evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat-related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high
humidity may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
