* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, light freezing rain or
freezing drizzle will remain possible through early afternoon. For
the Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow and blowing and drifting snow
expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 7 inches. Winds
gusting as high as 55 mph.

* WHERE...Lake and Newaygo Counties.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 1 PM EST this
afternoon. For the Winter Storm Warning, from 1 AM to 7 PM EST
Monday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Visibilities may drop below 1/4
mile due to falling and blowing snow. Whiteout conditions are
expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially
life-threatening. Visibility and road conditions may change
rapidly over short distances in lake effect snow. Travel could be
very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday
morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree
branches.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

Persons should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use
extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.

During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can
also vary greatly. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,
visibility, and road conditions.
