...GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...During the Low Water Advisory, abnormally low water
levels. During the Gale Warning, expect sustained winds up to
34 knots from the west with gusts up to 43 knots. The largest
significant waves will be 5 feet with a potential maximum wave
height of 7 feet.

* WHERE...Inner Saginaw Bay SW of Point Au Gres to Bay Port MI.

* WHEN...The maximum winds are expected around 10 PM EDT Friday
with the largest waves expected around 10 PM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Below normal
water levels will result in hazardous navigating conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong southwest to west winds have allowed
water levels to fall to around 1 foot below water datum. The
critical mark for safe navigation is currently 10 inches below
low water datum. The lowest water levels will be found along the
western Saginaw Bay basin as wind direction veers to the west,
with water levels rapidly rising overnight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.

Mariners should navigate shallow waters with extreme caution due
to below normal water levels.

EVENING...

* WHAT...Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts around 60 mph
expected, become west late this afternoon with isolated gusts to
65 mph.

* WHERE...All of southeast Michigan.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and
avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution
if you must drive.
