east of the Blue Ridge and up to 104 west of the Blue Ridge. For
the second Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 107 expected
east of the Blue Ridge, and up to 102 west of the Blue Ridge.

* WHERE...Portions of DC, central, north central, northeast,
northern, southern, and western Maryland, central, northern,
northwest, and western Virginia, and eastern and panhandle West
Virginia.

* WHEN...For the first Heat Advisory, until 9 PM EDT this evening.
For the second Heat Advisory, from 11 AM to 7 PM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
