...SOUTHERLY GUSTS APPROACHING 20 KNOTS THIS EVENING.. Recent marine observations on Chesapeake Bay between Sandy Point and Drum Point have begun to show southerly gusts nearing 20 knots. While somewhat sporadic in nature, on and off gusts to near 20 knots may be possible this evening. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should exercise extra caution if navigating the waters during this time.

...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 2 AM EDT SUNDAY... * WHAT...Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. * WHERE...Shoreline in Anne Arundel County. * WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 2 AM EDT Sunday, especially around the time of high tide. * IMPACTS...At 2.6 feet, water may begin to pond in the parking lot at Annapolis City Dock, and surround the Alex Haley Memorial. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides between one half foot and one foot above normal. The next high tide at Annapolis U.S. Naval Academy is at 11:22 PM and 10:31 AM. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. && Time of high total tides are approximate to the nearest hour.
