* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE...Calcasieu River near White Oak Park.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 5.0 feet, Lower end of Pickrel Lane near the river
begins to flood. Goos Ferry Road is impassable. Closure of the
Calcasieu River to recreational boat traffic is likely from the
Saltwater Barrier to the parish line.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:35 AM CDT Friday the stage was 4.9 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:35 AM CDT Friday was 4.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 5.5
feet tomorrow morning.
- Flood stage is 2.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 27.9 feet, This flooding will be similar to the
flooding expierenced in the flood of March 2001. Homes in
Deweyville have water in them.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:45 AM CDT Friday the stage was 26.9 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:45 AM CDT Friday was 27.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 27.5
feet early Sunday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
