...Snow Giving Way to Snow Showers and Possible Squalls...

A period of steady snow will spread across most of eastern Kentucky
this afternoon and then transition to scattered snow showers and
possible squalls into tonight. Accumulations of 0.5 to 1.5 inches of
snow can be expected through 8 PM, particularly on grassy and
elevated surfaces. Roadways could become briefly snow-covered and
slushy under the heaviest snowfall rates. Additional scattered
accumulations of up to 1 inch cannot be ruled out tonight.
