* WHEN...Until 1045 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 829 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cynthiana, Carlisle, Barefoot, Headquarters, Morning Glory,
Barterville, Hooktown, Buena Vista, Ellisville and Venus.

Northern Nicholas County in central Kentucky...

* Until 1045 PM EDT.

* At 811 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding on
Crooked Creek Road, 5 miles NNE of Hooktown. Between 2 and 3 inches
of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 2 inches
are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already
occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
