Flood Watch
Issued: 6:30 PM Jun. 26, 2026 – National Weather Service
...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING THROUGH EARLY
SATURDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by very wet soils with additional localized
heavy rainfall possible.

* WHEN...From 7 PM CDT this evening through early Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,

Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Area creeks and
streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A gradual uptick in isolated to scattered thunderstorms is
expected this evening through tonight across the watch area.
While not everyone will see a thunderstorm, and widespread
heavy rainfall appears unlikely at this time, additional
localized pockets of heavy rainfall will only aggravate or
re-aggravate ongoing flooding concerns across the region.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.

drown.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
