* WHAT...For the Dense Fog Advisory, dense fog will reduce
visibility to less than 1 NM. For the Storm Warning, west winds
to 55 kt and significant waves to 18 ft occasionally to 23 ft
expected.

* WHERE...Calumet Harbor IL to Michigan City IN.

* WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 6 PM CST this
evening. For the Storm Warning, from 6 PM this evening to 3 PM
CST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Low visibility will make navigation difficult. Storm
force winds and hazardous waves will capsize or damage vessels
and reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should remain in port, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for severe conditions.

If you must navigate, proceed with caution. Use proper fog
signals. Make sure all running lights are on. Remember to use
your radar and compass.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast Illinois, including the following
counties, Cook, Kankakee and Will and northwest Indiana, including
the following counties, Lake IN and Porter.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM CST.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 111 PM CST, Doppler radar and rainfall reports indicate
that up to three inches of rain has fallen since this morning
across the advisory area. Another round of showers and
thunderstorms is expected later this afternoon which will
bring additional rainfall to the area and may continue to
produce localized flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Hammond, Gary, Portage, Merrillville, Valparaiso, Chicago
Heights, Schererville, Hobart, Kankakee, Crown Point,
Highland, Munster, Park Forest, Bourbonnais, Bradley,
Chesterton, Cedar Lake, Steger, Lowell and Manteno.
