In northeast Illinois, McHenry. * WHEN...Through early Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - An additional round of showers and thunderstorms, some with very heavy rainfall, are expected this evening and overnight which may result in areas of flash flooding, particularly over urban or areas of poor drainage. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Flood Watch for flash flooding means rapid-onset flooding is possible, but not yet certain, based upon the latest forecasts. Flash flooding is a dangerous situation. Southern Winnebago County in north central Illinois... Central McHenry County in northeastern Illinois... * WHEN...Until 1100 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 844 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms earlier this morning and current steady rain over the area. Minor flooding is expected to continue in the advisory area. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
