* WHAT...High wave action and dangerous currents expected at Lake
Michigan beaches. Waves 3 to 6 ft occurring.

* WHERE...Lake IL, Northern Cook and Central Cook Counties.

* WHEN...Through Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...Swimming conditions will be life threatening,
especially for inexperienced swimmers. For information on swim
advisories or bans at Chicago beaches: www. cpdbeaches. com.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain out of the water to avoid dangerous swimming conditions
and do not venture out onto piers, jetties, breakwalls, or other
shoreline structures.

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM CDT
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Northeast winds to 20 kt and significant waves to to 6 ft
occasionally to 8 ft occurring.

* WHERE...Winthrop Harbor to Calumet Harbor IL.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM CDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.

* WHERE...Fox River Lower near New Munster.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 11.5 feet, Water is in the yards of some homes in the
Village of Salem Lakes and Town of Wheatland areas, including
Riverside Dr and Shorewood Dr. There are 3-4 inches of water over
77th Street in the Town of Wheatland.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 3:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 11.6 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 3:00 PM CDT Wednesday was 11.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to crest around 11.7 feet at
1 AM Friday morning.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
11.7 feet on 02/08/2019.
