* WHAT...For the Dense Fog Advisory, dense fog will reduce
visibility to 1 NM. For the Gale Warning, west gales to 45 kt
with occasional storm force gusts to around 50 kt and
significant waves to 9 ft occasionally to 12 ft expected.

* WHERE...Winthrop Harbor to Calumet Harbor IL.

* WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 10 AM CST this
morning. For the Gale Warning, from 5 PM this afternoon to 6
PM CST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Low
visibility will make navigation difficult.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.

If you must navigate, proceed with caution. Use proper fog
signals. Make sure all running lights are on. Remember to use
your radar and compass.

quarter mile or less. West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 45 to
55 mph expected.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Illinois.

* WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 6 AM CST early this
morning. For the Wind Advisory, from 6 PM this evening to 3 PM CST
Monday.

* IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could
be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use low beam headlights and slow down allowing additional room
between vehicles.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
