...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON... ...REPLACES FLOOD WARNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by repeated rounds of thunderstorms continues. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following counties, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will. * WHEN...Until 200 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...High water in retention ponds, ditches, rivers, creeks, and streams, and low-lying areas will continue to subside through the day. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 817 AM CDT, gauge reports along area rivers, creeks, and streams indicated residual high water from repeated rounds of thunderstorms. Local law enforcement reports that all roadways that were previously closed due to flooding have reopened. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chicago, Aurora, Naperville, Schaumburg, Bolingbrook, Oak Lawn, Wheaton, Downers Grove, Bartlett, Streamwood, Carol Stream, Romeoville, Plainfield, Hanover Park, Glendale Heights, Woodridge, Oswego, Burbank, West Chicago and Batavia. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
