...HIGH SURF ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...

* WHAT...Surf building to 30 to 40 feet along north facing shores
of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai and Maui. Surf building to 20
to 30 feet along west facing shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu and
Molokai.

* WHERE...North and west facing shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu,
Molokai, and north facing shores of Maui.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 6 PM HST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Very High...Expect ocean water surging and sweeping
across beaches, coastal benches, and lava flows creating the
potential for impacts to coastal properties and infrastructure,
including roadways. Powerful longshore and rip currents will be
present at most beaches. Large breaking waves and strong currents
may impact harbor entrances and channels causing challenging boat
handling.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from the shoreline along the affected coasts. Be
prepared for road closures. Postpone entering or leaving channels
affected by the high surf until the surf subsides.

* WHAT...South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, and Maui.

* WHEN...Until midnight HST tonight.

* IMPACTS...Winds this strong can tear off shingles, knock down tree
branches, blow away tents and awnings. Driving may become
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Watch out for falling tree branches when walking or driving. Make
sure tents and awnings are secure or take them down. Be prepared for
power outages.

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
