Special Weather Statement
Issued: 12:48 AM Mar. 17, 2026 – National Weather Service
...SNOW FLURRIES AND OCCASIONAL SNOW SHOWERS IN THE MOUNTAINS POSSIBLE UNTIL 11 PM EDT... Snow flurries may be observed as far south as the metro Atlanta area until 11 PM tonight, with occasional snow showers possible in the mountains. Light accumulating snowfall is possible at the highest elevations in the mountains. Gusty winds overnight will dry off wet roadways where earlier snowfall occurred, and warm sub-surface road temperatures will prevent black ice from being a concern. As a result, travel impacts are not expected.
