AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Alabama, including the following areas,
Baldwin Central, Baldwin Coastal, Baldwin Inland, Butler, Choctaw,
Clarke, Conecuh, Covington, Crenshaw, Escambia, Mobile Central,
Mobile Coastal, Mobile Inland, Monroe, Washington and Wilcox,
northwest Florida, including the following areas, Escambia
Coastal, Escambia Inland, Okaloosa Coastal, Okaloosa Inland, Santa
Rosa Coastal and Santa Rosa Inland, and southeast Mississippi,
including the following areas, George, Greene, Perry, Stone and
Wayne.

* WHEN...From midnight CDT tonight through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall are expected to pass across
the area through Saturday afternoon. Widespread rainfall
amounts of 2 to 5 inches are expected, with localized totals
above 6 inches possible. These totals, in addition to wet
antecedent conditions from previous rainfall could result in
flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.

THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents expected.

* WHERE...In Alabama, Mobile Coastal and Baldwin Coastal
Counties. In Florida, Escambia Coastal, Santa Rosa Coastal and
Okaloosa Coastal Counties.

* WHEN...From Friday morning through Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
from shore into deeper water.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
