* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall from earlier
continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southern Connecticut, including the following
county, New Haven.

* WHEN...Until 245 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding along the Pomperaug River continues due to
heavy rainfall from earlier.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1231 AM EDT, The Pomperaug River at Southbury is reporting
moderate flooding. The river is gradually falling and is
forecast to fall below flood stage later this morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

forecast.

* WHERE...Housatonic River at Stevenson Dam.

* WHEN...Until late Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Moderate flood stage with numerous homes
in the Maples area of Shelton affected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 PM EDT Friday the stage was 16.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday afternoon and continue falling to 8.9 feet Monday
evening.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
