Light rain and pockets of freezing rain will move into the eastern Catskills, mid Hudson Valley, southern Taconics, Berkshires and Litchfield County Connecticut prior to 9 am. Temperatures will continue to warm above freezing. The pockets of freezing rain may cause some slick spots on untreated surfaces. Motorists traveling this morning should allow extra time to reach their destination. Untreated walkways and parking lots may also become very slippery for pedestrians.

The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Precipitation begins this afternoon as mainly rain, changing over to a wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain, with some snow across northern areas. The wintry mix tapers off Friday morning.
