...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM FRIDAY TO 3 PM EDT SATURDAY... * WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline. * WHERE...Southern New Haven, Southern Middlesex and Southern New London Counties. * WHEN...From 7 PM Friday to 3 PM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in the more vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Some roads and low lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience minor flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Localized moderate coastal flooding possible Friday night into early Saturday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. For the Gale Warning, north winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 45 kt and seas 4 to 7 feet expected. * WHERE...Long Island Sound east of Port Jefferson and New Haven, Peconic and Gardiners Bays, and South Shore Bays from Jones Inlet through Shinnecock Bay. * WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 6 AM EDT Friday.
