...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM TO 6 PM MST FRIDAY FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE URBAN CORRIDOR AND PLAINS ALONG AND NORTH OF I-70... The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 8 AM to 6 PM MST Friday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 238, 239, 240, 242, 243, 244, 245, 248 and 249. * TIMING...From 8 AM to 6 PM MST Friday. * WINDS...West 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 8 percent. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread. Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a spark and start a wildfire. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior. &&
