FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...

* THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR LOCATIONS ABOVE
5,500 FEET IMMEDIATELY ADJACENT TO THE BOULDER AND NORTHERN
JEFFERSON COUNTY FOOTHILLS.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 239.

* TIMING...Until midnight MST tonight.

* WINDS...West 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 9 percent.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread.
Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a
spark and start a fast moving wildfire.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is a Particularly Dangerous Situation that poses a
significant threat to life and property in the event of a
wildfire start. Residents are urged to assemble an emergency
supply kit and know their evacuation routes. In some cases, safe
and timely evacuation may not be possible should a fire approach.
Have multiple ways to receive instructions from emergency
services, and evacuate if ordered to or if a fire threatens.

...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...West winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 75 mph.

* WHERE...Boulder and the western suburbs of Denver, western Fort
Collins, and I-25 Corridor north of Wellington.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM MST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds may blow down trees and power lines.
Scattered power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles. Strong winds will lead to
rapid fire growth of any new fire.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around
or damaged by the wind.
