...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 PM MDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northeastern Weld County in northeastern Colorado... * WHEN...Until 1130 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 823 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Pawnee Creek, South Pawnee Creek, Spring Creek, Cottonwood Creek, North Pawnee Creek, Horsetail Creek and Igo Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mainly rural areas of Northeastern Weld County. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland along creeks, and other low lying areas. &&
