For the Gale Warning, west winds to 40 knots and waves 14 to 18 feet expected. * WHERE...The nearshore waters of Lake Ontario from Hamlin Beach to the Saint Lawrence River. * WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 11 PM EDT this evening. For the Gale Warning, from 11 PM this evening to 7 PM EDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Total snow accumulations 6 to 10 inches in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph will produce areas of blowing snow Monday night and Tuesday. * WHERE...Jefferson and Lewis Counties. The highest accumulations are expected across the Tug Hill Plateau. * WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 8 PM EDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds will down tree branches and cause isolated power outages. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
