Heavy snowfall and wind are expected on Thursday and this may cause traffic problems.; What happens?: A large low pressure area is bringing both snowfall and wind across southern Norrland. There may be large amounts of snow, 2-4 decimetres more locally, over just under a day. In addition, there will be a fresh southeasterly wind. The snowfall and wind will shift south on Friday and there may be a continuation of the warning.; What should I think about?: Consider not going out in traffic or be prepared that there is a risk of getting stuck. Road conditions may be poor due to drifting snow, slippery roads, poor visibility and blowing snow behind vehicles.
It can be very difficult to travel due snow on roads, traffic accidents or vehicles that are stuck. Important services such as snow clearing and rescue vehicles may also struggle to get through.
Delays or canceled departures in public transport are likely.
Power outages and disturbances in telecommunications networks are likely in areas with overhead lines. Do not go near downed power lines.; Where?: Southern Norrland coastal region; Comments: It is uncertain exactly which area is affected. Hälsingland may be affected to a lesser extent.
