Very strong westerly winds combined with occasional heavy snowfall cause difficult weather.; What happens?: On Wednesday, a snowfall will first pass through with a fresh to strong southwesterly wind. This will be followed in the afternoon by a very strong southwesterly or westerly wind 17-22 m/s, locally 22-25 m/s and heavy snow showers. The greatest amounts of snow will be in the western mountains. During the evening, the wind and snowfall will decrease from the south.; What should I think about?: No hiking is recommended in mountainous areas. Rescue efforts can be risky and may take long time. It is very difficult to orientate due to reduced visibility. It is very difficult to move and set up or anchor tents. The risk of frostbite is high.
