* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... Seas have reached hazardous levels of 10 feet
this morning, mainly for northern and western coastal waters. Seas
are expected to subside below hazardous levels by Thursday
morning. Winds over Yap waters may approach the 22 kt threshold at
times, along the western extent of a trade-wind surge.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid boating in hazardous conditions.

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM CHST
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 8 to 11 feet.

* WHERE...West and north facing reefs of Palau and Yap.

* WHEN...Until 5 PM ChST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A large north-northwest swell is building
along west and north facing reefs of Palau and Yap, with hazardous
levels of at least 9 feet expected through Thursday afternoon.
North reefs are expected to see the highest surf, reaching up to
around 11 feet, before subsiding Thursday as the north swell
diminishes and the primary swell direction shifts toward the
northeast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.
