...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM AST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Arecibo, Barceloneta, Ciales, Florida, Manati, Morovis and
Vega Baja.

* WHEN...Until 530 PM AST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 237 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH
WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...All of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

* WHEN...From Monday morning through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Low-water crossings may be flooded. Rapid river rises and
landslides in areas of steep terrain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- As a trough continues to approach from the northwest, the
likelihood of flooding will increase. Showers and
thunderstorms will increase in frequency starting Monday, but
the heaviest activity is anticipated forMonday night into
Tuesday. Based on the latest guidance and the atmospheric
set-up, the confidence is increasing though the exact
placement remains uncertain.
