The National Weather Service in San Juan has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Northern Carolina in Puerto Rico... Northern Guaynabo in Puerto Rico... San Juan in Puerto Rico... Trujillo Alto in Puerto Rico... * Until 415 PM AST. * At 128 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely. && FLASH FLOOD...RADAR INDICATED

For the HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK, life-threatening rip current. * WHERE...For the HIGH SURF ADVISORY and HIGH RIP CURRENT, the most vulnerable areas are the exposed northwesterly and north- facing beaches. * WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory from 2 AM to 6 PM AST tuesday. For the High Rip Current Risk from late tonight through Wednesday morning * IMPACTS...FOR THE HIGH SURF ADVISORY, High waves that can wash over jetties and sweep people and pets onto jagged rocks. Rough surf may also knock you down. Large breaking waves will result in localized beach/dune structure erosion and dangerous swimming conditions. FOR THE HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK, rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water, where it becomes difficult to return to safety. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A High Surf Advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in the advisory area, producing localized beach erosion and dangerous swimming conditions. There is a high risk of rip currents. Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away from shore, which occur most often at low spots or breaks in the sandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as groins, jetties and piers. Heed the advice of lifeguards, beach patrol flags and signs. If you become caught in a rip current, yell for help. Remain calm, do not exhaust yourself and stay afloat while waiting for help. If you have to swim out of a rip current, swim parallel to shore and back toward the beach when possible. Do not attempt to swim directly against a rip current as you will tire quickly. &&
