...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 10 PM AKDT MONDAY FOR LIGHTNING... * AFFECTED AREA...North Slopes of the Western Alaska Range and Upper Kuskokwim Valley. * TIMING...From 10 AM to 10 PM AKDT Monday. * THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE INDEX...Scattered. * WINDS...Near thunderstorms, gusts could reach as high as 30 mph. * IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected due to scattered wet thunderstorms. These storms will bring frequent lightning strikes and gusty winds that are expected to cause new fire ignitions. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that conditions are occurring or will occur which could lead to the development of large and dangerous fires.
