...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 850 AM PDT THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of Southwest California, including the following county, San Diego. * WHEN...Until 850 AM PDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 649 AM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.25 and 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... ...ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE IN THE COASTAL WATERS THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON... An unstable air mass associated with a Pacific storm system will bring a slight chance of thunderstorms over the coastal waters off of San Diego County through this afternoon. Any thunderstorm that forms could produce gusty winds and rough seas, dangerous lightning, locally heavy rain with reduced visibility, and waterspouts. The thunderstorm threat will end this evening. Boaters are urged to use caution and seek safe harbor should threatening weather approach. Monitor NOAA Weather Radio for the latest forecasts and warnings.
