...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE SATURDAY NIGHT
THROUGH LATE SUNDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 5 to
11 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of central southeast Alaska including,
Gustavus, Hoonah, Tenakee Springs, Elfin Cove, Pelican, Sitka,
Angoon, and Juneau.

* WHEN...From late Saturday night through late Sunday night.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Two rounds of snow are likely this
weekend over SE AK, but it's the second round that will impact
the central panhandle. Snow will begin late Saturday night
with heaviest snow rates possible late Sunday morning into
Sunday evening. Moisture availability and warming mid-level
temperatures could limit snowfall totals.
