During the 30.-31.07.2025 night a precipitation zone will continue to cross the west and central regions of Latvia, bringing continuous and at times heavy rain, therefore in the time period from 03:00 till 06:00 locally the precipitation amount will have reached 20-30 mm. Locally thunderstorms are also possible. The rain will continue till the afternoon. BE AWARE of heavy rain!
Under the influence of heavy rain, the soil will become wet and may not be able to absorb water, the rainwater drainage systems may be overloaded. There is a risk that floodplains and low-lying areas, transport infrastructure will be flooded in some places.
In conditions of high humidity, there is a risk of damage to moisture-sensitive crops.
Difficult driving conditions on the road due to reduced visibility and aquaplaning. Consider that you need to plan a longer time for trips.
Caution should be exercised when moving in areas most affected by flooding.
Take care of the rainwater drainage systems in a timely manner, maintain them in a functional order.

In the eastern part of Latvia, where , the soil has been significantly wetter than normal for an extended period and water levels in water bodies remain constantly high, additional precipitation will worsen - lower-lying areas will be flooded more widely. In other river basins in the west of the country, the water level in water bodies will also rise, and the lowest places will be flooded due to the heavy rainshowers. BE AWARE of the potentially flood-prone areas!  The environment is already overly humid, water is accumulating in the fields and in the lower depressions,  low-lying areas on the banks of water bodies are flooded. Caution should be exercised when moving in flood-prone areas.
