If possible, seek shelter indoors, outdoor activities will be disrupted.
Be careful in places that are especially exposed to the impact of thunderstorms, for example, in forests, open areas.

In the river basins of eastern Latvia, the soil has been significantly wetter than normal for an extended period. Rain is expected throughout the country in the coming days, locally very heavy, which could lead to a rapid rise in water levels in some river sections. Low-lying areas in the eastern river basins will be more likely to be wider flooded. BE AWARE of the potentially flood-prone areas!  The environment is already overly humid, water is accumulating in the fields and in the lower depressions,  low-lying areas on the banks of water bodies are flooded. Caution should be exercised when moving in flood-prone areas.
