08.-09.06.2025 at night an active precipitation zone will be crossing Latvia from south-west. From 08.06 23:00 till 09.06 02:00 in many places intensive rainshowers with precipitation amount of 10-19 mm are expected. Locally thunderstorm possible. BE AWARE of heavy rain!
Under the influence of heavy rain, the soil will become wet and may not be able to absorb water, the rainwater drainage systems may be overloaded. There is a risk that floodplains and low-lying areas, transport infrastructure will be flooded in some places.
In conditions of high humidity, there is a risk of damage to moisture-sensitive crops.
Difficult driving conditions on the road due to reduced visibility and aquaplaning. Consider that you need to plan a longer time for trips.
Caution should be exercised when moving in areas most affected by flooding.
Take care of the rainwater drainage systems in a timely manner, maintain them in a functional order.

09.06.2025 in the morning west, north-west wind will be increasing in gusts up to 18-23 m/s. Wave height 1.0-2.0 m.

On the night of June 5 and during the day of June 5, heavy rain is expected across a wide area of ​​Latvia. There has been less rain in the western part of Latvia, so the heavy rain will cause temporary flooding of low-lying areas and a rise in water levels in rivers. In the central and especially eastern regions, low-lying areas, as well as river floodplains, will be widely flooded. BE AWARE of the potentially flood-prone areas!  The environment is already overly humid, water is accumulating in the fields and in the lower depressions,  low-lying areas on the banks of water bodies are flooded. Caution should be exercised when moving in flood-prone areas.
