...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM PST THIS AFTERNOON... ...GALE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM TO 10 PM PST MONDAY... * WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, rough bar conditions expected with seas 7 to 10 ft at 10 seconds and south winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. For the Gale Warning, seas 11 to 16 ft at 12 seconds and southwest winds 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 40 kt expected. Seas will be highest Monday evening during the ebb current. * WHERE...In the Main Channel of the Columbia River Bar. * WHEN...Small Craft Advisory, until 4 PM PST this afternoon. Gale Warning, from 7 AM to 10 PM PST Monday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...First ebb current of 3.49 kt at 606 AM Sunday. Seas 7 to 8 ft. Second very strong ebb current of 6.82 kt at 614 PM Sunday. Seas 9 to 10 ft. Third ebb current of 3.36 kt at 659 AM Monday. Seas 8 to 9 ft. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions. &&

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH LATE THURSDAY NIGHT... * WHAT...River and urban flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. Landslides possible in areas of steep terrain, and debris flows possible over recently burned areas. * WHERE...Counties in Oregon: Benton, Clackamas, Clatsop, Columbia, Hood River, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Tillamook, Washington, and Yamhill. Counties in Washington: Clark, Cowlitz, Pacific, Skamania, and Wahkiakum. * WHEN...From late tonight through late Thursday night. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Landslides and debris flows are possible during this flood event. People, structures, and roads located below steep slopes, in canyons, and near the mouths of canyons may be at serious risk from rapidly moving landslides. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A prolonged atmospheric river is expected to bring periods of heavy rain to northwest Oregon and southwest Washington Monday through Wednesday, with periods of lighter rain continuing Thursday into Friday. Rivers draining the coastal mountains and several Willamette Tributaries have the highest chance of flooding at 40 to 80%. Chances for flooding along the Willamette mainstem remains low at less than 10%. Urban flooding is possible and water on roadways will increase the risk of hydroplaning.
