...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 3 PM AKST
SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to 4
inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. Visibilities reduced to
one half mile or less.

* WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta Coast and Nunivak Island and Western Capes.

* WHEN...From 1 AM to 3 PM AKST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities reduced to one half mile or less due to
blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult. Gusty winds could
bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong southeasterly winds associated with a
strong front in the Bering will arrive to areas of the Southwest
Coast late tonight into the very early morning hours Sunday.
Initial precipitation associated with the front will be snow, and
coupled with strong winds will produce blowing snow through Sunday
morning. As the front continues to push inland, warmer air will
move in, beginning to transition the snowfall to a rain/snow mix

Coastal Flood Advisory
Issued: 10:20 PM Nov. 8, 2025 – National Weather Service
...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS
EVENING TO NOON AKST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Water levels as high as 2 to 3 feet above the normal
highest tide line.

* WHERE...Along the Kuskokwim Delta Coast and Nunivak Island.

* WHEN...This evening to noon Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Coastal flooding of low lying areas and erosion are
possible. Flood waters may impede upon displaced structures.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Southeasterly winds reaching 45 mph along a
front will approach late this evening, continuing through Sunday
morning. This will lead to coastal flood impacts such as storm
surge and flooding. Water levels are expected to begin rising
beyond the normal highest tide line late tonight. This could
cause localized areas of erosion along the coast. Structures not
elevated off the ground may be more vulnerable to flood waters.
In Kwigillingok, when water levels rise above 2 ft, access to
the airstrip and portions of the community could be threatened
(via roads and boardwalks). While winds and storm surge will
diminish Sunday afternoon, high tide Sunday night may limit
water drainage and keep water levels elevated into Monday
morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A coastal flood advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
