...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON THURSDAY TO 6 AM AKST FRIDAY... * WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 6 inches and ice accumulations up to a tenth of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta and Kuskokwim Valley West (along Kuskokwim River from Kalskag to Napaimiut). * WHEN...From noon Thursday to 6 AM AKST Friday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...SNow will be the main precipitation type through Thursday evening. The best chance for freezing rain in overnight Thursday. Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 50 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 5 minutes. Winds will gradually diminish this afternoon, allowing wind chills to moderate a bit. However, temperatures will remain well below zero. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
