...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM PST THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of northwest California, including the following county, north central Humboldt. * WHEN...Until 700 AM PST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. There will be an increased risk of rock and land slides along roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 501 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.8 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Orick, Trinidad, Westhaven-Moonstone, McKinleyville, Fieldbrook and Arcata Arpt. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... ...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM PST THIS MORNING... * WHAT...South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Potential gusts to 60 mph with any potential thunderstorms. * WHERE...Del Norte and Northern Humboldt Coast. * WHEN...Until 9 AM PST this morning. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Wind gusts will be particularly strong along windward ridges and exposed coastal headlands. There is an increased risk of tree branches and other debris on roadways. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... High winds can topple trees which can be deadly. Avoid being under trees during the highest winds. Postpone travel until lighter winds. Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive. &&

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON PST TODAY... * WHAT...A strong Atmospheric River weather system continues to bring widespread rainfall. * WHERE...A portion of northwest California, including the following areas, Coastal Del Norte, Del Norte Interior, Northern Humboldt Coast and Northern Humboldt Interior. * WHEN...Until noon PST today. * IMPACTS...There will be an increased risk of rock and land slides along roadways. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
