...BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM AKST THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Blizzard conditions. Visibilities reduced to one quarter mile or less at times. Additional snow accumulations up to two inches. Ice accumulations around a light glaze east of Bethel. South to southwest winds gusting as high as 40-50 mph. * WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta. * WHEN...Until 1 PM AKST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Blizzard conditions are occurring along the coast as strong southwesterly winds move from the Bering Sea into Kuskokwim Delta. Most of Kuskokwim Delta will likely see significant visibility reductions in blowing snow later this morning as the strong winds spread across the Delta. Blizzard conditions may continue for Kuskokwim Delta coast through Saturday as another storm moves in later this afternoon. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds and poor visibilities are likely.
