A period of hot weather is expected.

Time span: Sunday through Monday. 

Maximum temperature Sunday: 29 to 31 degrees Celsius.
Minimum temperature sunday night: near 17 degrees Celsius.
Maximum temperature Monday: near 30 degrees Celsius.

Locations: northeastern Newfoundland including Clarenville and vicinity and Bonavista Peninsula.

Remarks: Slightly cooler conditions can be expected along parts of the coast.

Warm weather is expected to continue through mid week, heat warnings may need to be extended for some areas.

Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
