...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM FRIDAY TO 1 AM AKDT SATURDAY... * WHAT...Coastal flooding and high surf conditions are possible due to 35 to 50 mph winds with gusts up to 75 mph. * WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta Coast, including Kipnuk, Kwigillingok and Kongiganak. * WHEN...8 AM Friday through 1 AM Saturday, particularly around high tides near 10 AM and 10 PM Friday. * IMPACTS...Coastal flooding of low lying areas and erosion are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The most likely scenario is for water levels to be 2.0 to 3.0 ft above the normal high tide line, which would be similar to the water levels during the August 18 2024 storm. While unlikely, the worst case scenario for Kipnuk is for water levels to be 3.5 to 4.0 feet above the normal high tide line, while the worst case for Kwigillingok is 4.0 to 5.0 feet above the normal high tide line. We are closely monitoring this storm. In the meantime, please have a plan in place. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Precautions should be taken to protect property. &&

...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM FRIDAY TO 4 AM AKDT SATURDAY... * WHAT...South to southeast winds 35 to 50 mph with gusts up to 75 mph. * WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta, Western Capes, and Northern Bristol Bay Coast. * WHEN...From 7 AM Friday to 4 AM AKDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...High winds could move loose debris, damage property, and cause power outages. Travel could be difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds are expected to start by 1 PM AKDT Friday for the Kuskokwim Delta, Northern Bristol Bay, Platinum, and Goodnews Bay. For the Western Capes, the strongest winds are expected near Cape Newenham, with winds for Platinum and Goodnews Bay expected to be near 60 mph. For Northern Bristol Bay, the strongest winds are expected near Togiak, while gusts up to 50 mph are expected for Dillingham. Winds are expected to steadily diminish through Saturday as the front moves inland and weakens. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind. Prepare for the possibility of widespread power outages. Use caution if you must travel. &&
