...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM AKDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...Water levels as high as 1.0 to 2.0 feet above the normal highest tide line. The highest water levels in Kwigillingok and Kongiganak. * WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta Coast. * WHEN...Until 3 PM Friday. * IMPACTS...Nuisance flooding of low lying areas. Coastal erosion is possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong south winds will push water toward the coast, resulting in elevated water levels and high surf. The first of 3 peaks in water levels occurred with high tide late this morning. Water levels at the next high tide, between 9 PM and 3 AM tonight are expected to be about half a foot higher than this morning's high tide. Water levels will then trend back lower with the high tide Friday morning, between 8 AM and 11 AM. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Precautions should be taken to protect property. && Baines

...WIND ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM AKDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Southeasterly winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected. * WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta Coast and Nunivak Island. * WHEN...Until 7 PM AKDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will continue to strengthen through the afternoon hours, with the strongest winds between 1pm and 4pm this afternoon. Winds will then gradually diminish through the evening hours. The end time of the wind advisory has been shortened by a day. Winds will still re-strengthen for communities near Kuskokwim Bay early Friday morning, but will be weaker than today, peaking at around 35 mph. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
