* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam is possible.

* WHERE...Circle

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- The breakup front in Alaska is currently near the Nation
River and is expected to continue progressing downstream with
potential for jams to form and release.

As of 6:30 AM Thursday morning, a report was received that
water levels have risen slightly from yesterday, in Circle,
and ice has stacked up more in comparison to last night. The
flow rate has also increased.

- If you live near or along the Yukon River stay alert and be
prepared to take action.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.

...FLOOD WARNING FOR AN ICE JAM IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 AM AKDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam is occurring.

* WHERE...Draanjik River near Chalkyitsik.

* WHEN...Until 445 AM AKDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Flooding as
well as large blocks of ice being pushed onshore. Water will
remain high until the ice jam releases.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 536 PM AKDT, the public reported an ice jam on Draanjik
River near Chalkyitsik. Impounding water due to the ice jam
will cause rapid river rises upstream.
