At 253 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking gusty showers along a line extending from near Tecalote to 7 miles southeast of Premont. Movement was northeast at 40 mph. Gusty winds are being seen on the back edge of the rain as evaporational cooling brings the stronger winds aloft down to the surface. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Bishop, Driscoll, Chapman Ranch, North San Pedro, Sinton, Edroy, Petronila, Agua Dulce, Banquete, San Patricio, Kingsville, Sandia, West Sinton, Riviera, Tecalote, Clarkwood, Annaville, Calallen, Kingsville Naval Air Station, and Riviera Beach. ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Numerous flash floods likely with significant events possible. * WHERE...A portion of South Texas, including the following areas, Aransas Islands, Bee, Calhoun Islands, Coastal Aransas, Coastal Calhoun, Coastal Kleberg, Coastal Nueces, Coastal Refugio, Coastal San Patricio, Duval, Goliad, Inland Calhoun, Inland Kleberg, Inland Nueces, Inland Refugio, Inland San Patricio, Jim Wells, Kleberg Islands, La Salle, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces Islands, Victoria and Webb. * WHEN...Through Friday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Abundant Gulf moisture combined with a slow moving storm system will continue to bring the potential for various rounds of showers and thunderstorms, some with very heavy rainfall. The rain will continue tonight through Friday morning before ending.
