...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM CDT THURSDAY THROUGH MONDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall remains possible over the next several days * WHERE...A portion of south Texas, including the following areas, Aransas Islands, Bee, Calhoun Islands, Coastal Aransas, Coastal Calhoun, Coastal Kleberg, Coastal Nueces, Coastal Refugio, Coastal San Patricio, Duval, Goliad, Inland Calhoun, Inland Kleberg, Inland Nueces, Inland Refugio, Inland San Patricio, Jim Wells, Kleberg Islands, La Salle, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces Islands, Victoria and Webb. * WHEN...From 1 AM CDT Thursday through Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Due to recent rainfall, the 3 hour flash flood guidance has fallen below 2.5" for much of the eastern half of South Texas with some spots below 0.50". Locations out west are sitting at 2.5-3" in the 3 hour flash flood guidance. With the expectation of more rain this week and into the weekend, flooding will be possible, especially in areas directly impacted by strong thunderstorms - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
