...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM AKDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 8 to 16 inches. * WHERE...Yakutat, Skagway, Haines, Hoonah, Tenakee Springs, Angoon, Sitka, Juneau, and Petersburg. * WHEN...Until 4 AM AKDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Another heavier band of snow will move through Wednesday. With more bands following suit on Thursday. Due to the showery nature of the snow, accumulations will be highly variable with periods of melting in sunny breaks. Snow showers are expected to then continue through at least Friday morning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling.
