...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM FRIDAY TO 11 PM AKST SATURDAY... * WHAT...Snow and blowing snow expected. Visibilities reduced to one half mile or less due to blowing snow. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 8 inches. Northerly winds gusting as high as 45-55 mph. * WHERE...Southern Alaska Peninsula, including the communities of False Pass, Cold Bay, King Cove, Sand Point, and Nelson Lagoon. * WHEN...From 3 PM Friday to 11 PM AKST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Visibilities reduced to one half mile or less due to blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Precipitation will begin as rain on Friday but transition to snow by afternoon/evening as temperatures cool. Strong northerly winds combined with the snow will lead to significant visibility reductions. Visibility improves through Saturday afternoon and evening as snow tapers off, though winds may continue to loft snow through the overnight hours. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
