...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM AKDT THIS EVENING THROUGH LATE TUESDAY NIGHT... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...The following areas, Northeast Gulf Coast and Northern Inner Channels. This includes the cities of Yakutat, Gustavus, And Juneau. * WHEN...From 10 PM AKDT this evening through late Tuesday night. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, other low-lying areas and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rain totals for the Yakutat area between this morning and Tuesday evening range between 4.5-7.0 inches, with greater than 9 inches possible at elevations greater than 1000 ft. For Gustavus, rain totals ranging between 2-4 inches, exceeding 4 inches on south to southwest facing mountains along the outer coast, and exceeding 4 inches on south to southwest facing mountains at elevation in Glacier Bay and around Gustavus. For the Juneau area, rain totals have trended slightly down, ranging between 2 and 3 inches with totals exceeding 4 inches at elevations greater than 4 inches. Highest rain rates are expected overnight tonight into Tuesday with rain rates as high as 0.2 inches per hour. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... ...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM AKDT TUESDAY... * WHAT...Southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected. * WHERE...City and Borough of Yakutat. * WHEN...Until 10 PM AKDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will increase quickly through Monday evening with the strongest wind gusts expected by early Tuesday morning. Strong wind gusts will then persist through much of Tuesday. Potential for higher gusts from mid Tuesday morning to early afternoon where higher gusts may be present briefly. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Winds this strong can make travel difficult. Use extra caution. Ensure boats and vessels are secure. &&
