...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM AKDT WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Southeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected. * WHERE...Cape Fairweather to Lisianski Strait, City and Borough of Sitka and Western Kupreanof Island and Kuiu Island. * WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 7 PM AKDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...High winds will blow around unsecured objects and may damage property and cause power outages. Travel will be difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...As a storm force low moves north toward the panhandle, wind will increase in the gulf and for land areas near and along the eastern gulf coast. The strongest winds are expected near Baranof Island tonight into tomorrow morning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... People are urged to secure vessels and loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind.
